Sección de Derechos de los Animales del Ilustre Colegio de Madrid

Estimados amigos, como ya os adelantamos
hace un tiempo, AFZ Abogados forma parte de la nueva Sección de Derecho de los
Animales, y finalmente ayer tuvo lugar la presentación de la misma. Claro está,
no pudimos faltar a la ocasión, y la SORPRESA fue absoluta. Un lleno total abarrotó el salón de actos
del Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid, entre cuyo publico se encontraban
numerosos representantes de Protectoras, Asociaciones y Santuarios de animales. Comenzaron las felicitaciones por la
creación de la tercera sección de Derecho Animal en España, y las inmensas
ganas de los creadores de aunar energías para que la concienciación sobre los
derechos de los animales retumbe en cada esquina de los pueblos y ciudades que
forman nuestro país.  Tanto la Decana del Ilustre Colegio, como
la Diputada y el Presidente de la sección coincidieron en hacer mención del
gran cambio que se ha producido en tan solo 20 años en este campo: "Cada vez existen más personas
preocupadas y dedicadas al cuidado de los animales, seres tan sensibles como
nosotros".Asimismo, nos hicieron partícipes de que el
usual catering que caracteriza las inauguraciones de las secciones había sido
eliminado en esta ocasión, con el fin de que el dinero que se emplease en el
mismo fuese entregado a tres protectoras de animales de escasos recursos. Las
beneficiarias fueron: LARA, La Sonrisa Animal y La Voz Animal. Magnifica
iniciativa. A continuación, DªArancha Sanz,
Responsable del Área Jurídica de la Sociedad Protectora de Animales de Madrid,
ilustró a los presentes con el relevante papel de los letrados en la defensa de
los animales. Asimismo puso de manifiesto la dificultad que entraña conseguir
sentencias ejemplarizantes en este ámbito, teniendo que apelar en muchos casos
a la sensibilidad del funcionario encargado de tramitar el expediente. Expuso
casos de actualidad, como la reciente Sentencia dictada por el Tribunal
Superior de Justicia de Madrid, que ha condenado a la Comunidad de Madrid por
no aplicar la Ley de Protección Animal en el polémico caso del maltrato de seis
toros en el rodaje de la película española "Blancanieves".  Tras su interesante exposición, el turno
de palabra correspondió a D. Óscar Horta, Profesor de Ética en la Universidad
de Santiago de Compostela. Intervención brillante donde las haya, pues además
del tono ameno y desenfadado que empleó, consiguió reconfortarnos a cada uno de
nosotros por el relevante papel que jugamos en este ámbito. Comenzó desmontando
los mitos socialmente aceptados creados para evitar la sensibilización de las
personas para con los animales. Y concluyó con una magnifica alusión a la
Declaración de Cambridge sobre la Conciencia, mediante la que los más ilustres
científicos del mundo, correspondientes a las diferentes ramas de las
neurociencias, concluyeron que los animales no-humanos sufren y disfrutan
exactamente igual que nosotros. Auguramos muchos éxitos a esta Sección,
que se ha autodeclarado "pro-vida, y pro derechos de los animales".  |
